The human body has energy channels, named meridians, through which vital energy flows. The ancient traditions had a deep intuitive understanding of this energetic body and knew that achieving balance in these energies is essential for optimal health.
Vital force or chi flows along an advanced network of energy pathways that surround the body and consists of two types of forces: Yin and Yang. A disease is thought to be an obstruction to the energy flow of these channels.
Recently, researchers have shown that there are meridians.
What are meridians?
Our body is an energy field embedded in another energy field. Electromagnetic nature has been measured by science through the use of advanced technologies such as ECG and MRI scanning machines for years. Scientists at Seoul National University have recently confirmed the existence of these meridians, which they call a “pioneering system.” They showed that there are new tubular structures inside and outside the blood vessels, on the surface of the blood and lymph vessels and under the skin.
In the research, they brought a special staining dye to acupuncture points that could color the meridians and allowed them to see the fine lines. The color did not appear in non-acupuncture points where there were no meridians.
The researchers found that the meridian lines were not confined to the skin, but to a specific system of ducts through which fluid flows. This fluid then aggregates to form stem cells.
In addition, in another study published in the Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, the researchers used contrast-enhanced CT imaging at both non-acupuncture and acupuncture points. CT scans revealed clear distinctions between the non-acupuncture point and the anatomical acupuncture point structures.
The relationship between meridians and health
The human body thrives on balance. A balanced flow of energy is essential for maintaining good health and a balanced lifestyle. Acupuncture, which originated in ancient China, is a healing method used to treat ailments and maintain a balanced flow of energy through our body to enjoy optimal health and well-being.
